Ministry | March 24, 2018 @ Brooklyn Bowl ~ Las Vegas, NV

I finally got a chance to roll into Brooklyn Bowl, since its arrival in Las Vegas in 2014, and my question is: Why did I wait so long!? The whole Linq promenade is AWESOME, definitely one of coolest places on the Strip. CHELSEA WOLFE was up first, never even heard the name before, but the first 2 songs, Carrion Flowers & Spun were great! Dark, ambient, gothic, very cool…I dug it a lot! Will definitely be picking up her latest effort HISS SPUN (Sargent House), which was released in September of 2017, at ZIA Records in the morning.

MINISTRY has ALWAYS been a major band for me! Al Jorgensen said he wasn’t gonna make music after the death of longtime friend and collaborator Mike Scaccia, but fortunately for the world, he did. The new album, AmeriKKKant, is more of what I love about this band. Al’s outspoken political views are legendary and he obviously hates Trump with a passion that is unrivaled. This was a bludgeoning, blistering, Heavy Metal beating…as heavy as any show I’ve EVER been to! it was AWESOME! I crawled out of the Brooklyn Bowl with my head ringing, disoriented, beaten & bruised but I’ll definitely be back! Anthrax and Testament are back on May 12th. Who’s in?
